I have spent years trying to get toppings to stay topped on my breads.  Even when I used an egg wash it was only marginally better. 

One day I spilled some everything bagel topping into my egg white wash.  I was upset.  That was all the topping I had.  Now what am I gonna do?!?  

Makeing lemonaid out of the lemons life just gave me I painted the egg white and topping mixture onto the dough with a palet knife.  The result was too awesome!

I got the color and glaze I wanted from the egg and my everything bagel topping stayed put.  Even after slicing. Too cool!!
