Country food, simplicity perfected

I have been told that pinto beans and cornbread are the worlds most country dish. I believe this because I trust and respect the folks that told me so.

All over the nation there is what we call 'country food'. In each region the foods differ. The one thing that remainds the same, simplicity.

A pot of pintos and sausage.  A skillet of cornbread.  Nothing better.



There is one difference between the traditional cornbread and pintos and mine.  This usually made with southern cornbread. Never one of my faves.  I make it with a sweeter northern cornbread. 

With that admission I have just been disowned by my whole South Georgia family.  

 I'm gonna miss em!  Yummster!
