Beer bread

Last night the weather finally let me bake bread. Specifically, a bread made with a dark beer.


The result is a rich beer sandwich slice.  Not really recommended for a PB&J.  But just perfect for a Rubenetta.

What is a Rubenetta?  Glad your asked.  The Rubenetta is my own version of the Ruben.  If the Ruben had a southern cousin it would be the Rubenetta. 

The Ruben is rye bread, corned beef and crout.  The 
Rubenetta on beer bread, like the one I just made, corned beef and creamy cole slaw.

Rats!  Now I want a Rubenetta and I am out of everything but the beer bread.  Man, that's just bad planning!
