🥖New recipe for bread 🥖

I scan YouTube for new recipes, knitting patterns and hacks of any type.  Recently I found a quick sponge for Italian bread.

I was hesitant because I REALLY don’t like to make a 12 to 24 hour project before you make bread.  Still this was only ten to twelve hours.  Basically over night.  I can do that.  So I did.


I was delighted with the texture of the crust and the crumb. I could detect a mild fermented flavor.  Just a little more than my regular white breads.  I wanted a little more flavor so I have decided to do what I had tried to avoid for so long.  At least a 48 hours of fermentation before I can make bread 🥖

Oh well, guess I’m going into unknown territory.  I’m setting up sponge today.  Check this place for more
