Breakfast

I got up hungry today.  Pesto eggs.  Charles has a couple gorgeous basil plants. Fresh basil is a lovely experience. I love pesto but the  basil purée is just as good.  Fresh and bright, it makes a sammie sing!

I use the purée as a sandwich spread. It’s great with all meats. Even with my beloved bologna.  I toast my home made Italian bread. Smear the purée on the bread and stack fried bologna. Sometimes I add cheese too.

Today, though, the pesto is destined for eggs.  I guess it’s a baked omelet. So good.  A lovely cup of smooth coffee too. I’m so happy.
