The Night of the vanishing snow

Tuesday night I went to sleep with 5 to 6 inches inches of snow on the ground.  Freezing temps promised terrible road conditions over night.

I woke Wednesday            morning to a whole town void of snow.  How could all the snow vanish over night?  Even the dangerous roads were clear and safe. . .over night.

It seems almost like a magic trick.  The explanation from the weather dudes didn't help at all.

Some how the temp went from freezing to over 50 degrees.  OVER NIGHT!!  

Trying to figure this out is making my head hurt!
