The Lost World: 1960 version

Today the pain has receded a good bit.  So I am on a declutter mission.  Work a little, rest a little.

Making a day of house work easier is an older movie.  The Lost World is one of my favorites in most of its incarnations.

This time it is the 1960 version of the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle novel.  This version is one of my faves because of the "special effects".  They created dinosaurs using enlarged filming of small lizards with glued plates and horns.

Back in the day this was a big film with stars like Michael Rennie and Jill St. John.  I remember watching this for the first time and thinking 'What the heck was THAT?'

It is funny to think this was the sate of the art just 17 years before Star Wars.

It has been fun to watch again.  Thanks Fox Movie Channel.
