Grilled Cheese Day

I read online somewhere that today was national grilled cheese day. It flung a craving on me, as Charles says.

One of my favorite grilled cheese sandwiches is Hickory smoked bacon, nutty Swiss cheese and sharp crisp granny smith apple all layered between two slices of home made Italian sandwich loaf.  Grill in just a smidgen of the fat rendered from the bacon.
