Black Magic cake

This mornings chocolate cake attempt is Black Magic Cake.  It is an old fashioned style cake. Made with coco powder not melted chocolate.  It shows.

This cake is rich and moist but not very chocolatey.  The icing recipe is skimpy.  I would double it in future.  It is very easy and quite flavorful.

I love the addition of coffee to this recipe.  I think it enhances what chocolate flavor there is.
