Dinner from the freezer.
Charles smoked a turkey in November 2015. We froze half the turkey and half the drippings. This weekend we defrosted it all. This is the result.
Sliced smoked turkey in sage gravy. Baked mac & cheese with broccoli. I love having a go to in the freezer.
It amazes me how good the defrosted dinner is. With my food sealer the meat stays fresh for months. Even the broccoli was frozen.
This ability to have dinner on the table in minutes makes the short comings of my physical condition easier to deal with. Not to mention to have Charles' smoked foods always at hand is just a gift.
