Dinner for a dark and dreary day!



Fifty-four degree high today.  Cloudy and damp it was the perfect day for an old fashioned pinto bean dinner. Pinto beans cooked in turkey stock with smoked turkey and sausage.



The cornbread was made of very fine white cornmeal, also called 'cat tail' cornmeal. It makes such a lovely texture.  The diced jalepeno makes for a nice kick.


And a dog begging at each knee!  Trixie!



And Lady.  "Bean me, pleeeze!"
