Good cook

Saturday we had a great dinner cook. Charles chicken stew and my cheddar jalapeño cornbread.  Cool weather has arrived. Stews, soups,chowders and warm beans dishes are on the menu. The corn bread is an excellent combo!





The first time since summer cold carrot soup and grilled cheese sammies have I used my soup and sandwich plates! They are too cute aren’t they! 

I love the thermal qualities of the ceramic. It’s what I admire the most. Okay! Okay! They’re stinkin cute too!  

Still the ceramic keeps the hot stew hotter longer.  Also the stoneware can be put in a warm oven until the soup or such hot stuff is ready to serve.  The warmed plates are great to keep any variety of grilled sandwich hot. Or in this case hot buttered cornbread.
