Stewed tomatoes

My sister and I share a love of food. Especially a love of southern food from our childhood.  So I’m writing this for my sister Sally.

I was searching for veggies for dinner. All I could find were canned tomatoes and instant potatoes.  I was inspired to make Sally jealous.  Hee heee!

Charles made smoked chicken. Mmmmmmm! I made instant potatoes with chicken broth instead of water. I also traded cream for the milk.  Still not home made but they are much improved!

Canned tomatoes are the shape shifters of connivance foods. From stew to lasagna they work magic in each recipe.

Such a simple meal.  Very good too.
