Dinner with Mom and Dad

Chacrles was on vacation last week. Mom and Dad came to keep me company.  My Dad is one of the best cooks I have ever met. Mom is his sous chef.  She has a few amazing recipes of her own.

My sister Sally and her husband Mark came for a day. It was a nice break.  I am sure I ran them ragged. I know I ran myself ragged.  But the things we did put me in my happy place.

Dad found his happy place too.  Wednesdays dinner was pork ribs, corn on the cob and sautéed spinach with garlic and mushrooms. 

I had plans for gluten free bread and a special desert. But we decided to rest up some before Charles got home.  We put a hurting on that huge slab of ribs

I couldn’t have been happier.  Cooking with my dad.
