Pepper Mint Patty Cake

A few weeks ago I froze a pepper mint patty cake.  We broke it out for dessert tonight.

Chocolate cake so dark it's almost black.  Chocolate-mint butter cream. Rich and refreshing.

Freeze it and BLASTOFF! Your head reaches the stratosphere!

The frozen cake gave me a flashback to 7 year old me.  August, 100 degrees, and the ac is having a  nervous breakdown.  Dad comes home with a frozen Sara Lee Cake.  Double chocolate cake.  We ate the whole cake. Still frozen.

Food memories are the best! Aren't they?
