Steak and mash

Of all the things Charles cooks my fave has to be his steaks! Tender and luscious they melt in your mouth.

I made the mashed potatoes. Sadly with no real potatoes in the house I used instant potato flakes. . . Yes I know, how could I let this happen? 

Just one of those days. I used what I had. I had used the stock I made from carcass our last smoked turkey instead of water.  I used cream instead of milk.  Instead of margarine I used butter.

Now these are still just instant potatoes, but they are the best I could make them. Truly, they're not so bad!  Hee! Hee

And yes then I put butter on them. . .
