three cheese baked pasta

Been craving baked pasta for days.  Tomato sauce with spiral pasta, ricotta mozzarella blend all topped with more mozzarella. Oh my goodness!

It turned out very well.  Charles gave it his highest praise 'Mercy that was REAL good!'.   That is one statement that always makes my day.

This is a vegetarian version.  I added fennel seeds to the cheese blend. It mimics the flavor of Italian sausage.

If it isn't a veggie day, browned mild Italian sausage layered over the cheese layer easily beefs this up.
