Camellias

The overnight low was 31 degrees and there is a wind gusting to 13 mph.  Yet . . . there are camellias blooming outside my window.

These remind me of the house my dad grew up in. My Grandma Nettie and my Pop Pop grew lovely camellias and magnolias.

The plantings were so impressive that we now call the memory of that old home Magnolia Manor. I say the memory of this home because we lost it to fire some years ago.  Guyton Georgia will never be the same.

I wonder if management would mind I planted magnolia in the green way between the apartments.
